Expérience bouleversante, passionnante, que ce film atypique qui nous entraine dans un tourbillon poétique à travers les époques, les lieux, les mémoires. 1 an de préparation et 7 mois de tournage dans 4 pays : Belgique (principalement Bruxelles), Canada (Montréal), Allemagne (Berlin, Babelsberg studio), Londres (Pinewood, underwater tank).
Pratiquement tous les intérieurs ont été reconstruits en studio : de la préhistoire au monde contemporain, en passant par les années 60/70/80, un saut dans le futur 2030 sur Mars, pour finir en 2092, sur la terre. Un projet ambitieux, mis en scène par un homme hors du commun.
Ce film m'a valu le prix de la contribution technique pour la « Migliore Scenografia » à la 66° Mostra de Venise en 2009.
This film constitutes a breathtaking, compelling experience that takes us on a tumultuous poetic journey through time periods, places and memories.
1 year of preproduction and a 7 months shoot across Belgium (mostly Brussels), Canada (Montreal), Germany (Babelsberg Studio) and England (Pinewood studios for underwater tank).
Almost all the interiors were studio built, ranging from prehistorical times, through the 60's, 70's and 80's, to contemporary settings and a jump forward to 2030 on Mars, finally ending in 2092 on Earth.
